Methane pyrolysis

Methane pyrolysis is a process for producing low-carbon hydrogen and carbon from methane, natural gas or associated petroleum gas.

Why are we doing this project?

The development of pyrolysis technology for gaseous hydrocarbons will make it possible to obtain environmentally friendly and inexpensive hydrogen and carbon black.

The tasks we solve

  • Icon pyrolysis reactor engineering
  • Icon design of reactor removal and separation of pyrolysis products
  • Icon study of the properties of pyrolysis products

Results obtained

An experimental plant for high-temperature decomposition of gaseous hydrocarbons (methane, natural gas, associated petroleum gas) has been created.
An experimental plant was assembled and research was conducted on "low-temperature" catalytic pyrolysis
The properties of carbon obtained in the process of pyrolysis of gaseous hydrocarbons were studied
The influence of pyrolysis process parameters on the yield and properties of products was determined
