Air disinfection

Thermal air disinfection is a safe and effective way to combat viruses, bacteria, and airborne allergens.

Why are we doing this project?

To combat pandemics, we suggested thermal air disinfection – the safest and most effective way to combat viruses, bacteria, and airborne allergens.
The proposed method of air disinfection consists of heating the air to a high temperature (100-150 °C) and then cooling the air in a heat exchanger, in which the heated air transfers its heat to the incoming air. This way, energy savings are achieved in terms of heating the air, and the output air is at a temperature close to room temperature.

The tasks we solve

  • Icon development of bactericidal recirculators based on thermal air disinfection
  • Icon development of a model of heat exchangers
  • Icon study of the effectiveness of thermal air disinfection

Results obtained

A bactericidal recirculator based on thermal air disinfection has been created
A model of an energy-efficient heat exchanger for thermal air disinfection has been developed
The design of a bactericidal recirculator based on thermal air disinfection has been developed and optimized
